RIP Elkie, my little kitty girl

We had to put her down today. She was so weak and could not meow, nor go potty anymore. She must of weighed only 3 1/2 pounds down from 6 pounds.
The hubby and son went. I could not go, I could not handle it. They said she went purring. We buried her way in the back by the woods, where we buried our old dog Jodie. I told Elkie to look for Jodie up in Heaven and Grandma Esther too, she will take care of her up there.

I KNOW how you feel. I think our precious pets teach us how to lose.
My pets are family members too.
I am so sorry.

I am so sorry you had to put Elkie down my friend.:( It is NEVER eassy to do this and I will say a prayer for Elkie and for you. My friend Lydia called me this morning and I was out. I called her back and she was crying. Her 11 year old cat was acting strange for the last two days. She peed on the floor twice and threw up once but then later was fine. Lydia got up this morning to find Spunky curled up next to the woodstove and he had passed away. She was devastated and confused because it was so sudden....but realized Spunky had a nice long life with them. We have buried many, many pets over the years and it is never easy. God bless your Elkie and you for being such a good owner and giving her such a great life. Take comfort in knowing that.

Yes I am okay. Just a bit depressed and out of sorts, and then busy busy with HAVING to do the taxes because I left it till the 14th to do. Last minute. I am bad like that.

Thank you all for the condolences. That means the world to me, people who *get it*!

It is so hard to say good bye to a pet. I lost our cat in November and we still miss him. Hope you are doing better.
